Diane Thornton & her husband began rescuing and rehabilitating stray dogs and finding loving homes for them a few years ago. They formally established Gerrie's Animal Rescue as a nonprofit, 501(c)3 charitable organization in 2021 to help even more stray dogs in Progreso, a port city on Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula.
